Discontinuation of V1 software

Version 1 of the software will be discontinued on 7 March 2026, at 0:00 GMT (1 a.m. European time). Ǧ1 will be unavailable on 7 March, resuming on the morning of 8 March (possibly even earlier).

This page will be updated as soon as it starts up.

The Ǧtest has been relaunched!
You are all invited to test the client applications to manage your wallets.

This is an exact copy of Ǧ1, made on 9 October 2025 at 22:52:44 (blockchain time, approximately GMT).
(If you had already performed tests before, they have been deleted by this relaunch)
You will find all your accounts in the state they were in on the date of the copy. Anything that was done or created after that date is not there. If something is missing, it is a bug. Please report it.

This Ǧtest can be reset (restarted, relaunched) at any time, from a new image of the real Ǧ1, so do not be surprised if your tests disappear overnight.

*The developers are still working on storing profile data (name, photo, location) . Profiles are updated on the real Ǧ1 servers, so if you modify a profile, it will be visible on the real Ǧ1.*

This ǦTest is completely independent from the real Ǧ1, so any actions taken on it (payments, certifications, membership) will have absolutely no effect on your real Ǧ1 account. With the exception of profile changes (photos, description).

On a green background: Apps available and testable by everyone, right now.
On a yellow-orange background: Apps not fully available, some features are missing. However, they can be installed and tested with some technical knowledge, if you are adventurous. There is no need to report bugs on these apps, as some features are still under development.

Before each test, make sure you have the latest version of the software, as there are still many updates to fix a few minor issues.

Cesium²

The most widely used portfolio management application now has a version 2!
It is as close as possible to Version 1, incorporating the specific features of Duniter version 2.

See: https://forum.duniter.org/c/apps/cesium/22
You can now try it out without installing it on this website

Installation:

Find the latest release here https://git.duniter.org/clients/cesium-grp/cesium2s/-/releases
Download the latest version for your device from the different packages:

  • web-zip: on any device, download and unzip into a folder (directory) and click on index.html to launch Cesium

Ǧecko

Ǧecko is designed to work on mobile phones.
A version for computers is also in development (currently being finalised).

Progress update:

Ǧecko is currently the most advanced app, with the option to update your profile using the profiles from the real Ǧ1.

Profile changes on Gtest are made on the real Ǧ1.

Testable by everyone.

Installation:

For iPhone:

On the Apple App Store Search for ‘Gecko monnaie libre’ or ‘Gecko G1’ in the App Store and install it.
The description says Ǧ1, but for now, it's just the Ǧtest (Apple is a pain when it comes to descriptions), so your Ǧ1 is safe!

For Android:

Available on the Play Store, or by searching for ‘Gecko G1 wallet’

Find the latest preview version for Android on the forum
Choose the version for your phone. If you don't know, choose ‘new phone’. If that doesn't work, try the others.

For Linux and other operating systems

Available for Linux and MacOS

Be careful not to confuse this with the version found at: [https://g1nkgo.comunes.org/](https://g1nkgo.comunes.org/). This version is not necessarily the latest! It will be updated for the launch of V2.

To date, the web application is optimised for the Firefox browser.
On other browsers, there may be display issues.
The main developer lacks the resources to test on other browsers.
